Usage Policy and Procedures

Who may use the Access Grid?

The Access Grid is available to all members of the Northwestern University (faculty, staff and students) including those outside the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science. As usage capacity permits, commercial organizations/startup companies affiliated with NU, other commercial entities may use the facility. Scheduling for the introductory period will be on a "first-come, first-served" basis. As the node reaches scheduling capacity, McC DIR, in collaboration with the the leadership of the principal user groups, the McCormick Dean and NU's Vice President for Information Technology, will set scheduling priorities and establish block scheduling times for groups in accordance with those priorities.

Who will manage, maintain and schedule the Access Grid Node?

The McCormick School of Engineering's Director of Information Resources and his staff will manage, maintain and schedule the Access Grid Node.
